A Bridge to Successful Co-Parenting
A Parenting Coordinator is a person agreed upon by the parties and their attorneys, or appointed by the court, to make decisions for the parents as they go forward after a court has issued a custody order. The Parenting Coordinator helps to facilitate cooperation, communication, and collaboration as it pertains to the children and their parents' co-parenting relationship but will ultimately make decisions for the parents if they are unable to agree. By way of example, Parenting Coordinators often make decisions regarding what extracurricular activity the child will play or what telephone contact with the child will look like when they are at the other parent's home.

The goal is to eliminate conflict, stress on the children, and build a framework that allows parents to properly share parenting tasks.
