Dawn is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a B.S. in Business administration and a B.A. in Psychology. She obtained her law degree from Wake Forest University in 2000. She has practiced law in Davidson county and the surrounding areas for over 24 years.

 

She was certified by the North Carolina State Bar as a Specialist in Family Law in 2010.

 

Dawn has been a DRC Certified Family Financial Mediator since 2010 and has helped hundreds of couples in the midst of separation settle issues including child custody, child support, spousal support and equitable distribution thereby avoiding lengthy and expensive litigation.

 

She is also certified as a Parenting Coordinator and offers services to parents in interpreting and working within the bounds of child custody orders and resolving disputes between parents that arise regarding those orders.

 

As a Collaborative Attorney, Dawn works with couples who prefer a collaborative approach to resolving their martial separation issues. She has been trained in collaborative law methods which can help spouses workout agreements among themselves without the need for court involvement.
